WHO AM I?
Brian Mohammed is journalist born in May 5, 1979 employed by the Times of Swaziland Group of Companies since 2001.
In the media industry he has served only under the Times group doubling as a reporter and photographer. Being a former professional soccer player he first served in the daily sports department where barely a year of introduction in the profession he was awarded Independent Oil Womens League best Reporter in Swaziland.
A year later he was promoted to the daily news department where he served as a cub-reporter whose main focus was economic , social, and cultural news which amongst them included covering issues related to drought.
In 2003 together with two other reporters and daily news editor were promoted to produce a weekly publication Swazi News where, Brian was employed as both senior reporter and Chief Photographer for the whole department.
Since then there has been no turning back for Brian and his team as they have maintained a recorded of the highest selling newspaper in Swaziland.
While working for the department he was nominated for the MTN Swaziland/Swaziland National Association of Journalists Award Photographer of the Year award while in 2006/2007 received an award of being the Most Dedicated Swazi News Report which he currently holds until today.
In 2008 Brian’s team was awarded with Diamond Arrow Award for being the best weekend publication in the country.
Brian has travelled extensively abroad including being on the two delegates from Swaziland who took part in the Wayome Foundation 1st International Conference on HIV/AIDS held in Ghana Accra in November 2007.
